We all know the job market is bad, and we want to grab every opportunity possible. So if you decide to go through the interview process with them, just expect to waste your time. I was told there would be 3 rounds of interviews and ended up meeting with them for 7 times, only to be given a verbal offer followed by a rejection. In the verbal offer, they walked through the perks and salary. While salary is lower than market rate, I only asked the perks to start on first day of the job and more vacation days to compensate for the gap. Keep in mind that I was clear that these were not firm requirements and I was open to negotiate. Then they sent me an email saying they cannot offer the compensation that I was looking for… I was confused and frustrated because I did not ask for anything more than what they offer on the salary structure. A few days later, they posted the job description again with an even LOWER salary range. That’s when I set peace and moved on with almost a month of time wasted.
