Question 1
Tell us a time when you’ve had to deal with conflict in the workplace. How did you go about resolving.
I had an interview with Fenwick which I thought went really because there were literally no questions thrown at me and my very answer seemed acceptable by the interviewer. I waited for a week to hear back from them, but there was no response. I dropped an email after a week and received a reply 'within seconds' saying the application has been unsuccessful. During the pandemic, I have noticed most of the employers have called back and shared the result of the interview over a phone call, unlike Fenwick. Fenwick beauty merchandising team and the people's team doesn't seem to have any courtesy regarding this. I was the last candidate to get interviewed as I was told. Somehow, I felt the decisions regarding selections were already made. Before the first telephonic call, no job description was shared in the email. During the whole process, I actually wanted the team to ask questions and be more open. The case was totally different. The person who took my interview accepted that he himself does not know much about the department as he was new. Dear management team, have some respect for an interviewees time as well.

1 stage with the new Director of Merchandising- really good interview which flowed more like a conversation than having questions fired at me. Got given lots of time to talk through my CV followed by a few competency questions. Lasted just over an hour and he explained a lot behind the context of all the changes currently happening there.
