I applied for a Senior Partner Project Manager role and was excited by Fever’s mission and creative energy. The initial interview was positive with the recruiter, but the second stage involved in-person psychometric tests (maths, English, abstract reasoning) that felt unrelated to the role.
For a company that values being entrepreneurial and ambitious, relying on rigid, standardised tests felt archaic. These didn’t assess the real skills needed for the job, like project leadership, stakeholder management, or creative problem-solving.
Also, despite being asked to visit the office, I didn’t meet anyone from the team, which made the process feel impersonal and like a missed opportunity.
I didn't get to learn much about the company as I was told my test results didn't meet the test threshold requirements. I felt the hiring experience needed to better reflect the values they promote.
