Phone, and face to face, interviews relied heavily on case study work, to assess the candidate's suitability for the position. The experience, regardless of whether one moves forward through the process or not, is valuable and offers insight into the activity of Finalta.

How would one benchmark the digital presence of a bank?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Finalta (London, England) in Nov 2017
Interview
I was invited to take part in the first round of the interview process. An email was sent with two links to the assessments. The first link redirected me to an online problem solving test (PST) that comprised of 24 questions which were supposed to be completed in an hour. The second link tested my writing skills. The instructions were to write a memo to a bank CEO advising him on the acquisition of another bank.

One of the questions in the PST required me to make a conclusion about the performance of 5 banks based on their number of deposits and number of automated teller machines.

Interview
No visa provision except for professionals needed for Russian services. I passed the initial screening, but this is the reason why I cannot proceed. Overall the whole process does not seem difficult, Initial screening, Numerical and verbal test, phone interview, In-house interview and partner interview.
