I was excited to interview with GI Alliance as they had a role posted that aligned very closely with the work I was already doing. I did a brief recruiter screening, then one interview with the hiring manager and her colleague followed by an additional interview the rest of the department leadership. Both sets of interviews were conversational and flowed well, and I received positive feedback from both panels. After the final interview, I allowed a day or two before reaching back out to the recruiter to follow up. It's been several weeks since then, and I never received any feedback or response from the company at all (not even an automated email through the ATS). At this point it's clear that they went with another candidate or closed the position. I don't feel I was owed an offer and it's entirely possible that someone else had more experience or different salary expectations or was a better personality fit, but certainly some response from a company you've done 3 rounds of interviews with is the professional expectation. It's a shame because another reviewer indicated they were similarly ghosted, which implies this isn't an uncommon occurrence.
