I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gapingvoid
Interview
1. Application. The application form is different than any other application I've seen because it asks more engaging and creative questions. (i.e. upload a picture that symbolizes a meaningful work experience)
2. Interviews. Interviews are with team members, the CEO, and the COO separately.
3. Offer discussion
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's your understanding of what Gapingvoid does?
I found the interview to be difficult and puzzling. It was a series of three zoom calls. If you are interviewing with this company, wear a ballcap. This seemed to be very important to them (wearing ballcaps on video calls) and they pointed it out multiple times.
The style of interview was stress testing. There was interest in my professional background and goals. Be prepared to "sell yourself."
The interview did ask several questions that I did not find to be relevant to the job. These questions, pertaining to family life, religion, beliefs about cursing, and other personal matters, were the reasons I did not take the offer.
No benefits were provided in my job offer and it was a 1099 arrangement.

Question 1
Why don't you wear hats on zoom calls like we do?
What are your professional goals?
Tell us about your background?
We really like cursing her and using swearwords. Why don't you do that?
How many children do you have?
More application questions than you’ve ever seen. Include a video. Include four referrals. Upload letters of reco. Detail your thinking style. Write about everything you’d tell people to read, listen to, absorb about culture or change. Attach samples. If you get past that, there’s an initial screening and then you have a 72-hour challenge to complete a brief. Include a presentation. Then get ready to present it. After that maybe you’ll get the chance to solve more business problems on another call.
