I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin in Jan 2020
Interview
Had a 30-40 minute behavioral phone interview with a member of the recruiting team. Very easy going and consisted of questions about project experience and team work. After phone interview, was invited for a 1 on 1 Skype interview with the Aviation team.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Olathe, KS) in May 2024
Interview
Started off with a general interview asking behavioral questions. the second interview was technical with one of their engineers. Then there will be a third, in-person interview which they will offer to fly you out to their location.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Olathe, KS) in May 2018
Interview
Interview process at Garmin is thorough. Your mileage may vary, but a screening followed by a technical interview followed by a rigorous on-site interview is typical. If you make it to on-site interview, they really make an investment bringing out out. They flew me out (with wife), paid for hotel, arranged rental car, and paid for food, etc. Interviewed with a number of managers in hour intervals. 3 hours overall of experience/education/skills/technical interview. Somewhat inefficient as each interview session was most of the same questions all over again. Around the 30-45 minute mark, they would introduce more personalized questions to really probe your understanding. Some even gave paper quizzes.
