Standard interview process for any consulting role. Overall the experience was negative. HR is very unprofessional and it seemed like there was a lack of communication within the HR team. They called me multiple times asking the same questions multiple times. I was told initially that I will have 3 rounds of interviews but they kept on adding interviews and in total, I gave 6 interviews. It was not that they were not able to decide my candidacy but they were trying to get me interviews with their clients. The hiring process execution was as bad as any of those consultancies. I had multiple offers and I was trying to hold off on deciding my next job for getting the final word with Genpact but they kept on adding interview after interview. When they finally offered me the job I had already made my decision.

I was part of a virtual recruitment drive. First round was good as I was asked about everything I had done till now, SQL, python, data science, genai. Second round was with a VP but he did not have much knowledge of AI/ML so I told HR to reschedule round with someone who has better understanding of field. Then I had my final round with another VP which went well. Now comes interesting part where they asked for my salary slips and expectation. Now it has been 1.5 months and they have not offered me anything, they say they have compliance issue going on in their HR team. Still waiting for offer as we speak, Oct 2024
