I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GetYourGuide (Berlin) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was very smooth and was given feedback at every step. 4 rounds from recruiter call, technical task, technical interview with a take home assignment, and the final round with EM. Everyone was very nice and helpful throughout the process
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GetYourGuide (Zürich) in Jul 2025
Interview
Multiple rounds:
#1: Discussion with HR recruiter if your CV passes screening, around 30m, about the position and why GYG
#2: Online Assessment, can’t remember the time exactly, I think 1h and one LeetCode medium.
#3: After passing the assessment, you get a project one day before the technical interview, but really you can find it on their GitHub, as the project is public. In my case, it was a Java Spring Boot app with a few endpoints. During the technical interview, you are asked to modify endpoints, write tests and perform SQL queries (this is where I failed, as I mainly did SQL queries with AI through my career :)) )
#4: Surprisingly, I passed, and moved to the last stage, a 1h behavioral interview with an EM. Basic behavioral questions here.
After a few days, I got feedback that unfortunately they went with another candidate, as multiple candidates pass technicals and they stack rank them. The HR offered a feedback call but I had to decline due to other interviews & commitments. It was a nice and relatively fast interview process.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for the effort you put into our process. We appreciate your openness and wish you the best in your future opportunities. Your feedback helps us continue to improve the candidate journey.
Best,
