There were four different interviews. At least three of the four were conducted by former coaches and it showed. They were all very kind and supportive and made me feel comfortable. They were very open to taking the time to answer all my questions. They provided great information about the process, the company, and the position.
The first interview was I think about 30 minutes and was asking about my background and how I would differentiate being a coach and a therapist.
The second interview was a 50 minute mock chat conducted over Zoom with no sound or video at any point. The interviewer/mock client was having difficulty at her new job.
The third interview was about an hour and was supposed to go over the mock chat. The interviewer also asked about how I've dealt with difficult situations and with diverse populations.
The fourth interview was 30 minutes and was with a coach manager. It ended up being more of me asking questions.
Even though I didn't get an offer (but I did thankfully get contacted only a few days later, so I didn't have to wait long to hear back), I appreciated the interview process and think it is good for both the company and the candidates to get to know one another. I think it makes the job seem even more appealing in that they are trying to hire quality coaches.
