      Technical Support Manager Interview

      I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GitLab in Mar 2022

      Interview

      First round is a 45 min interview with the recruitment manager. Then you are sent some technical homework questions which are to be filled out within 6 days. Next stage is a peer interview with a panel of Technical Support Managers from different locations. This is a 75 minute behavioural interview. Following this there are further rounds - a Technical Interview/test, an interview with the VP of Support and possibly even a final interview with the CEO.

      Question 1

      Rejected on the basis of "we have decided to proceed with candidates who have displayed more experience/drive for creating/managing diverse and inclusive environments at work" but the only question that was asked in 75 + 45 minutes of interviews relating to DEI was "How diverse is your team?" I suggest that if this is truly what is important for them, they put more thought into the questions asked. It's actually an insulting response given that I currently manage a very diverse team and strive for inclusion at every opportunity - but was never asked relevant questions to give me the chance to provide more details.
