I applied online. I interviewed at Globe Life Liberty National Division (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2017
Interview
There was a short interview with one of the hiring managers, where they asked you a little about yourself and if they liked you enough, you were brought into a room for a presentation with about 10 other people. Before/after the presentation they had you fill out a personality questionnaire which was one page of short questions and two pages of multiple choice questions. The presentation went over the company, the agency and the culture. Not a ton about the position itself. This seemed to sort of gloss over the fact that (as I later discovered) this is a commission ONLY position. Not entirely horrible if you're into that kind of thing. But you are also a 1099 contractor (meaning subject to paying your own taxes at a higher rate) and you have to pay to get yourself licensed. Personally, this type of thing is not for me. I was disappointed because the posting listed an actual salary amount on it and mentioned nothing about the fact that you aren't guaranteed any salary at all. Other than that - the company seemed good, the people seemed really awesome. I probably would've enjoyed working there had I been looking for something commission based and wasn't a little put-off by the lack of transparency.
