I applied online and was invited to interview with a recruiter who asked basic motivational- and competency-based questions. I don't think HR knew the expectations from the hiring manager because she couldn't answer basic questions related to interview process. Later, I was asked to complete an SQL assignment and later was invited to interview with the hiring manager. However, during the interview, I learned that I am being interviewed by a Business Analyst who wanted to go into details of my SQL assignment, which would have been fair if I was informed upfront. I think the team was looking for a Business Analyst with a deep understanding of Marketing and SQL programming language and not a Product Manager because we didn't cover any aspect of creating a product. A couple of days later I was informed that I was not selected for the next round.

The process involved an interview with the recruiting contact and a second interview with the hiring area. I couldn't move to the next step based on my experience and the background needed for the position
