The interview process began with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a second-round interview. After advancing, I was given a take-home assignment with a 24-hour deadline, which I completed and submitted on time. I was then invited to a final interview with the director.
During the final interview, I was told I would be a great fit for the role and that I would hear back from recruiting regarding next steps. My final interview took place on June 3rd. After allowing some time and following up, I never received any communication or update.
I understand that hiring decisions can take time and that companies may choose other candidates. However, after asking candidates to invest significant time in multiple interviews and a take-home assignment, I believe the professional courtesy of a status update or rejection email should be standard practice.
Overall, the interview team was pleasant, but the lack of communication at the conclusion of the process left a negative impression.
