I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Goodgame Studios (Hamburg) in Mar 2015
Interview
At the beginning of February, I was contacted by a recruiting manager at Goodgame Studios via LinkedIn, after I had been recommended by my former team leader.
A week later, We had a general phone conversation about past work experience, projects, duties, willingness to relocate and earliest possible starting date.
A week late, I was asked to send my CV, portfolio and university certificate and after that to take an online test with questions related to the position. The test was limited up to 2 hours.
The first half of March, there was a skype detailed interview, that took about 25 minutes, with an HR representative and a senior developer. The whole interview was about previous work experience, technologies, interesting tasks and decisions, and about projects I had been involved. There were no tricky questions, everything went smoothly and in a very professional way.
The next week, I got an email with a job offer that suited me in all directions.

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Goodgame Studios in Dec 2014
Interview
I applied using LinkedIn in Gamasutra. They got back to in a few weeks later and after some days we were talking via skype. It was a hour long interview about my knowledge in Flash, AS3 and Games.
After that they sent me a test for Flash and AS3 skills. It took me about 2 hours to complete. I knew I was not that good in the test. Flash has not being my main focus for a while now. After about 2 months I was contacted again requesting a date to start and an salary expectation.
I answered that email and we scheduled a second skype session. This time it was about my last game and my Unity3d knowledge. Two days later I got an email with a job offer and I accepted :)

Question 1
All about Flash knowledge was harder because I've been away from that tech for a while. But the unity3d part was not hard at all. Not technically. I think the most difficult part was when I had to explain to the RH person how my game worked in detail. I had to assume she had no knowledge of unity and so I stared from the very beginning.
