I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at H E B (Killeen, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
Was my first job interview, and was really simple. I applied online, and 2 days later, was called, and i did a phone interview. It consisted mostly of availability questions, and "why do you want to work at H-E-B. She then scheduled me for a 1 on 1 interview a few days later. The lady who interviewed me was really nice. She was very informal, amd we talked more about italian food then the actual interview. Then i looked at a few pictures of the workplace and she made me identify what was wrong/right with each. Then she scheduled me an interview with her boss later that day. He was also nice, but more formal. He offered me the job on the spot, and i am currently awaiting a call about my background check
Virtual interview comes first, most likely a screening interview!
The in-person interview is where they gauge your customer service attitude and ask about your availability. It is a relaxing, low-pressure interview process that still ensures the right people are hired.
