For #WorldMenopauseDay in October, we spoke to Project Specialist Samantha, about her experience of early menopause and how it affects her. Sam became menopausal at just 33 after being diagnosed with a number of conditions that affected her fertility. Her doctors decided it would be best for her to have a full hysterectomy which triggered the start of the menopause and caused symptoms like hot flushes, brain fog, mood swings and insomnia every day. She says “Coming into work when struggling with menopause symptoms can be a constant battle”. Sam encourages women to talk about this with friends, family and colleagues - that’s why here at Aldi we have a Menopause Support Guide, a Menopause Webinar and a Menopause Support Hub, all of which make sure our colleagues and leaders have everything they need to support one another! Thank you for sharing your story Sam ❤️

Now you are probably pretty familiar with our Super 6 in terms of our amazing fruit and veg offers. Well, there are plenty of other super things about Aldi… one of them being our colleagues. So, we asked Ben, who joined Aldi on our Store Management Apprenticeship Programme, to tell us his six favourite things about working for Aldi. Here is what he had to say… 🤝 Opportunities – Ben has completed his Level 3 Management Apprenticeship, and has even been promoted to Deputy Manager! 👔 Experience – He’s been able to gain some hands-on experience by working alongside Managers in different Stores. ⏰ Fast paced – There’s always something to do on your shift, and working towards targets and deadlines helps him to thrive. 👯 Team environment – Your team is what makes your job enjoyable, and that’s certainly true here! 👪 Work-life balance – Our flexible working options mean you can often fit work around your life – not the other way around. ❤️ Great benefits – Aldi care about our colleagues, and Ben believes our benefits reflect that. #TeamAldi can access a number of benefits from gym discounts and health tips to financial help and advice. It’s not too good to be true. It’s just good to be a part of #TeamAldi. Experience all of this for yourself by heading to our website and sending us an application!
