I was referred to the hiring manager by a mutual acquaintance. The first step was to have a 30-minute phone meeting, during which I established my experience and job desires. We agreed to further the process and meet the following week in person. During that time we talked in greater depth of what the position expectations were, my experience with those expectations, and then was shown around the office and introduced to my potential co-workers.
