The interview process was disappointing and felt unprofessional
My initial interview was rescheduled just five minutes before it was due to start. While I understand that emergencies happen, there was no apology and no clear information about when the interview would be rescheduled. Instead, the same brief email was resent with a new Teams link and calendar invite.
The interviewer was also late to the rescheduled call and again did not apologise. The interview began with a comment about being very busy and having lots of open roles, followed immediately by questions about my experience. There was no introduction to the company, team, or role.
The biggest issue was that the role itself did not match the job description. During the interview, I was asked about my backend experience and was told that the role was backend-focused and that the job description was not very clear. This was strange given that the advert heavily emphasised frontend technologies and experience, including React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility, and SPA development.
Overall the process felt disorganised and gave a poor first impression of the company
