I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Havelsan (Ankara) in Sept 2025
Interview
My interview process with HAVELSAN consisted of multiple stages. After my initial application, I was invited to the first technical interview, where my professional background, analytical thinking skills, project management experience, and suitability for the Business Analyst / System Engineer role were evaluated.
Following this stage, I was informed that I successfully passed the first technical interview and was invited to complete an online case study. The case study was conducted in a time-limited format and required me to analyze a business scenario, identify requirements, structure the process, and prepare solution-oriented outputs. Within the scope of the case study, I worked on areas such as business process analysis, requirement definition, user stories, acceptance criteria, risk analysis, and process modeling.
Overall, the process was structured, technical, and competency-based. It focused not only on my past experience but also on my ability to analyze a real business problem, translate needs into system requirements, and present a clear and practical solution.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the questions asked during the technical interview was about how I would analyze a business need and transform it into system requirements. They asked me to explain how I approach requirement analysis, stakeholder communication, process modeling, and preparing user stories or acceptance criteria for a software/system development project.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Havelsan in May 2025
Interview
Submitted the online application with hope. Waited anxiously for the HR call. Two long months of silence passed. Survived the technical interview. Then came the cold rejection email. All that effort, wasted.
