I had a very disappointing interview experience with Hudl.
A recruiter reached out to me to schedule a call, and I confirmed a time. I was waiting for the call as scheduled, but he never showed up. I followed up afterward and sent multiple emails (3 times total), but I never received a response.
Being unavailable can happen, but completely ghosting a candidate after initiating the process is extremely unprofessional. At the very least, I expected a short reply or apology.
This experience left a very poor impression of the company’s hiring process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hudl (London, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
This company has a five-step interview process, which is fair enough, a passionate candidate wouldn’t mind putting in the effort. However, it’s disappointing to invest so much time preparing for multiple stages only to receive a rejection with no feedback at all. I wouldn’t recommend applying to a company that can’t offer even basic courtesy or constructive feedback, especially when a candidate has progressed to the second or third stage.

Question 1
I recently had a one-hour portfolio review with their lead and senior designers. Throughout the session, I paused at each stage to give them space to ask questions, but they didn’t raise anything specific. They repeatedly said everything looked great and only asked a few vague questions, such as whether a particular document was written by the PM or whether I created user flows based on that document. I answered clearly and explained how we later refined the flows. At the end of the interview, I asked for feedback on my performance, and they told me I’d presented very well and that they really liked my case study. Then, two days later, I received a rejection email with no feedback.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hudl (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interviewer did not know how to interview, almost like they was just learning how to. It was not conversational and it was very one sided. The questions were very unstructured and they kept jumping from one topic to another like they didn’t even know what to ask and expected me to read their mind.
