Entry Level Associate Applications Developer - Lansing MI Interview

      7 Apr 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at IBM

      Interview

I applied and was asked to set up a 10-15 minute webex video call to further discuss the application and the opportunity. I was also asked to answer 8 questions. Two that stuck out the most were: Are you willing to relocate without any assistance within a month. And are you willing to take a low salary. I'd like to note that they do not offer relocation assistance or reimbursement and did not list that or the salary on the job listing. The salary was $40-$45,000 per year. This is non-negotiable, which is about half of what is average for the same position at other companies. Shortly after I received a rejection email saying Thank you for your interest. We regret to inform you that at this time, your application will not be further considered for this role.. I have a BS degree in CS and fit all of the requirements. Not sure if I was rejected because of my race or because I had a relocation concern on short notice.
