I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Petaling Jaya) in May 2025
Interview
- Online interview initially set on a Sunday. Entered the online meet but no one showed up for an hour. Turns out there was a "technical error" but didn't inform me until I contacted them via email.
- Rescheduled interview set the next Friday in the morning. 30 minutes before the interview hiring manager called me up to reschedule the interview at evening due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Pretty casual meeting. Asks generic interview questions (introduction about yourself etc.) then a bit of behavioral questions. Then the rest of the interview is the hiring manager explaining in full detail about the role itself. Overall liked the interview.
- However the results of the interview were not communicated to me until one month later, even that after I've followed up three times with the hiring manager and HR rep.
- Overall the interview itself was okay, but the process before and after the interview is very dissatisfactory.

Question 1
If we're close to a deadline and needing for extra OT work to meet the deadline, but you have plans set for the day, are you willing to cancel those plans to meet the deadline?
First round was a case interview and final round was a behavioral interview with a more senior member of the team. Each interview was 45 minutes with one member from the team.
There was only 1 round of interview. Heard from recruiter 1 month after submitted application. Interview was 1 hour and did not seem structured at all; it went over a mix of technical and behavioral topics.
First stage of CV application, followed by an in-person assessment centre, then final interview with hiring manager in person in Southbank London office. Many assessment centres were running throughout 2017 when i applied.
