Saw a remote opening on LinkedIn, applied, then someone from HR contacted me. First thing, she asked me what my desired salary was, and immediately lowballed. First red flag. I dismissed her, and after a couple of days she contacted me again accepting my initial salary. Then, the job description changed. Second red flag. She had to create a Calendly account, probably because she was used to manually schedule all interviews. Third red flag - as an IT company, you're expected to have the minimal services in place if you're interviewing remotely. Then a first small interview took place - on WhatsApp. Fourth red flag. All went well, I got word that the tech team looks forward to an interview, so she asked me "could I get ALL of your availability to do a 90 min teams interview over the next two weeks?". Fifth and final red flag, I ghosted, as the whole interviewing process was continuing to be ridiculous. Either IRIS has serious issues with their recruitment process, which makes me unwilling to work with the team they assembled, or this person slipped through HR cracks and made an awful first company impression.
