The interview process with iUNU consisted of screening and three rounds. However, it was marked by constant changes in the job title, which led to confusion and frustration.
Initially, the position was advertised as "Head of Software Engineering." However, as the process progressed, it transformed into "Sr. Technical Manager" and, ultimately, "Tech Lead."
In the first technical round, the discussion revolved around my previous experience and work methodologies, with the interviewer stating it was for the "Head of Engineering" position.
The second technical round involved a coding task where I had to build a game from scratch. In this round, the interviewer mentioned that the interview was for the "Sr. Technical Manager" role.
The third technical round, meant to extend the code from the previous coding task, took an unexpected turn. The interviewer stated that the job title had changed to "Tech Lead" and asked me Python-related questions, which seemed unusual for someone with 13 years of experience, especially considering that the job posting was primarily focused on Ruby proficiency.
Overall, the interview process left a lot to be desired. The ever-changing job titles and mismatch between the advertised role and the actual interview content made it a frustrating and time-consuming experience, ultimately feeling like a waste of time.
