I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Image API (Tallahassee, FL)
Interview
Complete waste of time and an entire day. I was led to believe over the phone that the interview would only be one to two hours, but it ended up being about 6 hours instead. After watching a video about the company that was useless, and then being moved around to 5 different people with a group of other people who were interviewing that day for other open jobs I was just ready to leave. By the time I got to the last individual (who acted like she had better things to do than be stuck with the task of interviewing) I was just ready to get up and walk out of her office, and I probably should have after the numerous red flags I kept encountering. The third individual who interviewed me was so uptight that he made it clear that he was too important to be wasting his time interviewing people. He also made it a point to say that he was best buddies with the founder of the company during the interview, yet seemed to belittle the fact that he was stuck in his "vice president" position. When he asked a question about the job, and I started to give an example using Agile he stopped me mid sentence and said that if there's one word he can't stand it's Agile. How can this company expect to compete in its industry if they have executive leaders that loathe industry standards and call them nothing but a fad? The general atmosphere of the place seemed very sterile. I interviewed on a Friday but the way employees were walking around seemed like it was a Monday. Very unhappy people and a generally negative atmosphere. I got the impression they really don't know what skills and talent they are looking for in an individual for the position because I was more than qualified for the job as it was described. I was actually glad to get the rejection letter from them after that experience because there's no way I would have accepted the job if offered.
