      Senior Product Marketing Manager Interview

      4 Mar 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Santa Clara, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Infoblox (Santa Clara, CA) in Sept 2014

      Interview

After phone screening with recruiter and hiring manager I had one round in person interview with product marketing team (3) and two product managers. They mostly wanted to learn about what relevant experience I bring to the position from it security standpoint. They also treated me to lunch with product marketing team in cafe. I received a fair offer and package and accepted.

      Senior Product Marketing Manager Interview

      21 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Infoblox in Dec 2017

      Interview

Everyone I spoke to was nice and respectful, but the process was definitely not pleasant. After the recruiter phone screen, I took the competency exam before I can speak to the hiring manager. The first (and only) call with the hiring manager focused on my background and marketing experience, and it was obvious that the hiring manager was not impressed. Then they waited another 4 months before officially rejecting my application. During the wait, the recruiter sent the "sorry we're still interviewing other candidates" updates twice. The fact that the hiring manager didn't like me enough to bring me in for on-site interview should be a good reason to reject me 4 months ago. I understand some companies keep the back-up candidates around before their favorite one accepts the offer or even starts the job, but 4 months of waiting was a bad candidate experience. I also want to suggest Infoblox changing their hiring process and moving the competency exam to after the hiring manager phone screen. It is a waste of candidate's time prepping for an hour-long online exam (some even pay for the practice exams) before the hiring manager subjectively decide if they are interested in this person at all.

      Senior Product Marketing Manager Interview

      26 Dec 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Santa Clara, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Infoblox (Santa Clara, CA) in Sept 2014

      Interview

About month long process from start to finish. Started with phone interview with hiring manager and then met with the team for interviews in person, also had lunch onsite. People were pleasant and the company poised to grow with security as a focus. I loved the new facility and feel. Seemed to be people friendly which I like. I have to say that the recruiter who introduced me to the opportunity played a big role in keeping me interested and positioning me well throughout the process. I really appreciated the manager and team who comforted me about the possibility to have a work life balance... outside of major product launches of course :) I am glad I accepted the offer and am enjoying working at Infoblox. Highly recommend it!
