      Senior Performance QA Engineer Interview

      4 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Informatica (Bengaluru) in Apr 2015

      Interview

My profile was shortlisted through LinkedIn. Initially had a discussion with recruitment HR, he discussed about the role and checked basics performance engineering skills, later scheduled telephonic round with one of the technical panel followed by 3 face to face interview in the Bangalore office. After a week, 2 technical interview over phone, 1 with technical panel from Informatica US and other with Bangalore office. Few days later I was informed to have 2 more technical round one with US team member and technical director and it was scheduled over conference call one after other of a day interval. I attended the first conference call 2 minutes before proactively to avoid if any technical glitch and waited for close to 35 minutes as I did not wanted to miss the opportunity after coming a long way but my bad luck interviewer didn't joined the call so informed HR with the screenshot of the call logs just to confirm if I did any mistake from my end while joining the bridge but after some time I was informed that due to some unavoidable reason interviewer couldn't make it on the scheduled time so I was fine it happens some time due to some urgent call or one other reasons and it was rescheduled on the same day in the evening, this time interview was taken and it went average based on the interview questions I could judge myself or may be below average from interviewer point of view. I had the second interview scheduled next day with the Director from US so had to take in the early morning, this time also I was prompt to joined the bridge on time but guess what :), I had the same long wait for over half an hr with the similar hope if he join a bit late as he might be more busy guy than the team member but he didn't turned up, so finally I did informed the HR again considering my moral responsibility with a consent that he will check and get back to me but I didn't hear back from him or them, one reason which I could guess, I wasn't through the last team member round but felt my time shouldn't have been wasted if that was the case and that too in the early morning, jokes apart but on a serious note I felt highly unethical and lack of professionalism in organizing/managing the interview process. It may not be the similar experience for all but I thought to share specifically my interview experience with this company. I don't regret for not being selected and showing off the frustration with the review about the company's interview process but tried putting a small effort and time if such scenario can be avoided in the future for other candidates, then it's worthwhile writing this.

First off please accept my sincere apology for your terrible candidate experience you received. I prize my team on always focusing on the candidate and in fact we have been awarded 3x candidate experience awards for it. None the less your experience is certainly not what I stand for as I'll be taking this up with the local leaders and interviewers that did not attend the call as planned. Again apologies for your inconvenience
