I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intact (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2025
Interview
1st screening
2nd with few members of the team talking about my experience. this was more exploratory and them learning about you
3rd more members of the team and testing my technical knowledge. not leetcode, conversation based. The job posting, and everyone I talked to said this was a devops role, but they only tested my knowledge on advanced git topics. Felt like I was mislead as they were looking for a git administrator, not a devops engineer. When I asked if i would do other tasks like infra, monitoring, AWS, etc. (all things that were on the job description), they would say yes and steer the topic back to git. It didn't feel honest. If they advertised it as a git admin role, then the interview questions would be fair.
