      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Integral Ad Science (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2019

      Interview

I've got to admit, this was one of the worst recruitment/"interview" experiences I've ever had. To preface this: the job description aligned 100% with my experience, as it was an identical role to my previous two roles. I also have great references from past colleagues, and experience with IAS. That said... A recruiter with IAS reached out via LinkedIn to connect, and later discuss an opportunity. Initially I said no, since I was content in my current job - but on the next reach out, I said yes. A call was scheduled but (literally) last minute they cancelled/said they couldn't make the call due to double-booked meetings, but that they'd send over an email with login credentials to complete an assessment on ProcterU prior to our chat, and that they'd follow up ASAP to reschedule our call. Instructions in the email were to answer all questions as quickly as possible (even if unsure of the answers). 50 questions in 12 minutes (14.4s/q). Practice test links are also provided, and it's encouraged to do these. The questions are varied & you have a "Procter" watching you through a webcam. (Very creepy...) In the customer success roles I've been in with tech companies, not once have I witnessed this process. Also, not once have I needed to (in any of my roles) determine what comes next in a series of obscure doodles, or calculate something silly like '5322455 tables ÷ 234 apples x 927 plates' without a calculator. (It's almost 2020... Let's be real here people...) Finished the test in time + personality test, but I guess I didn't have the "aptitude" or "personality" to merit any type of response after the initial "I'll get back to you soon" email. Pure radio silence. All for the better though, who knows what the working environment is like if this is how unorganized and impersonal their "interview process" is.

      Question 1

ProcterU Assessment Test / 50 questions in 12 minutes.

      Question 2

No actual interview questions, as they simply have you complete a test. it's a very impersonal experience.
