Don't interview with them if it will cost you more than 10 dollars, they will probably just give you the wall of silence.
I interviewed on April 17. By the way, I came from California to interview at their Atlanta office. Now, they audaciously told me they don't pay for any expenses at all no matter how far you travel. Luckily for them, I put together back-to-back interviews in Atlanta. The interview at Ionic was on day #2, and company #1 offered like a normal company to pay round-trip airfare and lodging (for a single day, I told them I needed to stay an extra day for my own affairs). I wouldn't have come out there if I had had to pay for the airfare. Unfortunately, I am out $130 lodging, $35 car rental, $15 parking and $40 food for my extra day with Ionic.
I found the programming question given by their Java SDK engineer a joke. He seemed surprised when I stated that you can sum the ints from 1 to N in constant time. They hardly asked any relevant questions at all for a mobile software development interview. Only the last guy out of 5 people I met with asked any verbal questions about the Android platform.
Also, they never responded to me about the interview. AT ALL. Over 3 weeks ago. I had the agency reach out to them and we never got an answer.
