I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Dec 2024
Interview
Pretty good. 1st stage excel, 2nd stage probabilty breianteasers, 3 rd stage coding and failed before a final round in person office assessment. Was contacted by a recruiter for the role and the only stressful part was the probabilty questions as it was my first time doing them. However, it was fine.

Question 1
Coding was super easy so not really sure why I failed lol it was a simple sort algorithm leetcode easy style
Very easy compared to the other roles at Jane Street. Got asked Probability, coding, brainteasers. Basically a mix of Quant trading and Software Engineering questions. First and Second round were much easier than final onsite round.
going through resume, explain your past experience and projects. why the company jane street and role of trading desk operations engineer intern. then logical reasoning and brain teaser type questions .
The interviewer was extremely kind, approachable, and supportive throughout the entire process, which made the overall experience much more comfortable and less stressful. The questions were largely similar to typical LeetCode-style problems, focusing on core data structures and algorithms. In addition to the coding-focused rounds, one of the initial rounds specifically tested mathematical concepts, which required a strong grasp of fundamentals and logical reasoning.
