I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JetBlue (New York, NY) in Jun 2018
Interview
I applied on the website and within a week and a half got an e-mail to do an on-demand video interview. Simple questions like why JetBlue and what skills do you have that would fit this job. About a week after I was invited to an interview session in New York. A word of advice, they will not fly you in for this, so if you live somewhere far you're going to have to buy a plane ticket to fly in. At the session, they had us do a basic math test with simple addition/subtraction and mostly questions about reading and adding time. After that we had 1 on 1 interviews. The questions were all behavior based with regards to dealing with frustrating co-workers and how you handle those situations. Overall, very nice people and not too difficult of an interview process. Unfortunately I did not get the job, but the interview process was relatively smooth. Again, my only complaint is having to buy my own ticket for an interview just because I live in another city.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Describe how you deal with a difficult/stubborn co-worker.
The assessment test is biased and a buffer to keep people of color out of their company. People don't even do half of the word problems in basic life. The video interview is good.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The assessment questions were not needed and you're taking the wonder lic .
can you tell me about a time where your day did not go as planned, what happened and how you were able to turn it around? (initial plan-issue-resolution--- they want a story drawn out to them/be specific)
have you ever been a part of a team where someone was not holding their weight? (question was asked differently-- again they want a story drawn out to them/be specific--what was the issue, steps taken to resolve it and the resolution if any)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JetBlue (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
The interview process in all honesty was very long.
I applied and had a referral after my referral notified their team I received and invite for a video interview. The video interview was pretty ok 6 questions all straightforward with majority being situational “What would you do?”
After submitting my video interview I was invited to take a math test. Simple adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing. There’s a lot of word problems to solve for a time.
Ex: “Chris left for work at 2:30pm it takes Chris 45mins to get to work. What time did Chris arrive at work?”
25questions MUST get an 80% anything lower you will be excused from the hiring process.
After taking and passing the math test I waited for an interview invite. Took a while to get that invite. I absolutely loved the actual interview part, I was very nervous in the beginning but they give a 30-45min introductory speech where the people on the panel tell you about their journey in JetBlue. Most of them began as Crew Schedulers which gives you so much motivation.
Next the interview! We split off each person on the panel interviewed on interviewee. It was another 6 or so more questions. And it was over just like that.
