The interview process at Klarna is pretty long, but one has to consider that they get many applicants as well. I had a 6 round interview for the Data Scientist position in Stockholm, Sweden, and the entire interview spanned more than 2 months. All of the interviews were done. online. The first round was a short call with HR and the goal was to provide a brief introduction about yourself and let them know the expectations. The second round is the Abstract Reasoning one which consisted of some analytical puzzles. They will give you some practice questions, and it is better to do it beforehand. The third round was a case study where they shared a dataset and asked you to provide an ML solution for it. There is a bonus point for deploying the solution in AWS. The Fourth Round is the Skill interview where you have to present your Case Study solution and answer any question related to it. They will also ask questions related to your previous work experience mentioned in your resume. The fifth round is the Behavioral round which is based on the STAR method. Also, read about the Klarna leadership principles as it will help you to prepare for this round. The sixth round was a 90-minute Live Coding and Team Fit interview. I was asked to provide an ML solution for a toy dataset in sklearn in front of the interviewer. You are free to use any ML algorithm of your own choice, and I went with XGBoost. You are also allowed to use the Internet and in case you are stuck do ask your doubts to the interviewer. All the rounds were not that difficult. In case you don't know the answer be frank and say you don't know rather than beating around the bush. Also let them know your thinking process as they are more interested in that rather than the answer to the solution.

Onestamente uno dei peggiori iter mai affrontati. Screening HR rimandato più volte con una latenza di risposta incredibile. Ricevo la comunicazione 30 minuti prima del colloquio, fornisco immediatamente nuove disponibilità, ricevo risposta dopo 4-5 giorni. Successivamente ricevo un assignment abbastanza impegnativo da fare entro 7 giorni lavorativi, la cui traccia però è assolutamente insufficiente a comprendere bene l'obiettivo e il contesto. I dati su cui lavorare sono pieni di anomalie, ho pensato che potesse essere parte dell'assignment e chiedo spiegazioni in maniera molto proattiva e mostrando di averci sbattuto la testa. Anche in questo caso ricevo risposta dopo giorni e stringatissima (tipo 3 o 4 parole), assolutamente inutile a risolvere i miei problemi. Concludo comunque l'assignment evidenziando le cose che non mi tornano, consegno e non ricevo mai più risposta.
