I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Kresge Foundation
Interview
Kresge used a recruiting firm to do the early rounds of interviews. After 3 interviews with the recruiting firm, I met the hiring manager and the individual who was currently doing the job (they were leaving for a secondment). The Kresge folks were upfront on the reality of the position.
Never heard back from the recruiting firm.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kresge Foundation
Interview
I received an invite for a zoom interview, which I had with a couple of people from the department. One interviewer was very kind and seemed to like me. Their questions, the first part went fine. The second interviewer clearly did not like me from the beginning of the call. I hesitate to call it discrimination, but I've never had an interviewer dislike me outright. They clearly did not think I was qualified for the role (or some reason) and did not hide it well. It felt racially motivated.

Question 1
They asked my opinion on current initiatives that the foundation was working on.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kresge Foundation (Troy, MI) in Nov 2022
Interview
Extremely grueling, multiple 45min interviews with multiple employees from various departments in addition to the actual hiring team. Often repetitive and included the same staff over and over again. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for several in-depth philosophical questions.

Expect serious, in-depth questions directly related to programmatic/philanthropic work and your approach to DEI, as well as standard employment questions.
