I was originally contacted by a recruiter via email about the opportunity. The initial phone screen with recruiter was pleasant & led to a phone screen with the PMO Director. This was also pleasant, however, very pointed - limited time meant that yes/no answers about my qualifications were better than lengthy answers with lots of detail or background. I was then invited onsite to interview with the QA Director, Engineering Director, PMO Director, 2 PMs, and the CTO.
L4 is very busy at the moment, so I was only afforded around 30 minutes with most interviewers, and only 10 minutes with the CTO. I do have a strong background as a consultant Technical PM, but the last 3 years of my career have been in IT sustainment at a large telecommunications company, so I think this was the was reason I was past over - I'm rusty with my Scrum/agile skills and I couldn't effectively sell the team on my ability to ramp up quickly. However, I fully believe I'd be up to speed within 2 weeks on the job. Having been in consulting for over 5 years, I really do understand what it takes & could have been an incredibly valuable PM at L4.
I wish L4 the best of luck.
