Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback on the interview process. Your feedback is really important to us, so I've already shared it with my colleagues.
I'm so sorry to have called you earlier than planned for our phone interview; that was a sloppy mistake on my part. As I mentioned at the time, I would have been very happy to call back at the originally planned time. Nonetheless, I'm extremely embarrassed to have mixed up my schedule in that instance and sincerely apologize for any stress that may have caused you!
I'm also sorry to hear that you would've preferred to receive more guidance and background information regarding to exercises in which you wrote a couple emails to customers. I know it was a bit difficult, but the goal there was for me to see how you'd perform with only 15-20 minutes of preparation. Otherwise, it would take too long to prepare for the exercise and we wouldn't have time to do it.
Most of all, I want to apologize for how long it took me to get back to you with feedback about your application. 3 weeks is terrible, and I'm really sorry that happened! Typically, it takes less than 1 week for the application process to be completed from start to finish. In this case, we were still waiting on responses from certain other applicants before we made a final decision, and consequently there was a long delay. It should not have been so long (and it almost never is). I apologize sincerely for your frustration.
