I interviewed at Laurel Heights Hospital (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
The Laurel Heights Mental Health Associate interview was professional and welcoming, focusing on behavioral health experience, crisis management, teamwork, communication skills, patient safety, compassion, and ability to support children and adolescents effectively.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Laurel Heights Hospital (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2025
Interview
I got a call a few weeks after applying to schedule an interview. They make you fill out a paper writing a paragraph on one of three prompts. Additionally, the paper makes you sign agreeing to their policy that this facility does let you request certain days of the week as unavailable. It literally states that you “must be available 24/7.” The person interviewing me took an hour to grab me after filling out the paper. It was obvious during the interview that they had not read my resume. Once we started talking about availability I let him know that I was in school and would need 3 days of the week off…. which is on my resume. He asked me was I okay working PRN and I said that was fine, but the next week I got an email that I was not selected for the position. It seems like they only want people with no life to work here. Additionally during the interview we spoke about how if they don’t have enough staff to cover the next shift you have to stay over time. There is also so type of weird on call system where if you didn’t work the weekend before and they are short staffed you’ll be called in to work.
It was a very quick and straight forward interview. I transferred from another hospital and they wanted to ensure I was capable of working with the population. I imagine more questions may have been asked if I was not to the organization
