      Software Engineer Interview

      12 Mar 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Left Field Labs in Aug 2025

      Interview

It was a pretty straightforward interview process, a technical take home followed by a few rounds of conversations with different team members. I was told i fit the culture, and was "hired." Afterwards, I was told that budget and project needs changed and they would be in touch. This was 5 months ago. They went from being overly communicative to ghosting me. That was really discouraging.

She kept me up to date, and gave me feedback at every step. I did not end up getting the offer, but hope to be selected if another opening comes available.

      11 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Left Field Labs in May 2025

      Interview

I applied for the role and received an email back later that day to set up an interview. Overall, there were approximately five rounds of interviews: 1. Initial screener with recruiter 2. Technical assessment (async) 3. Meeting with technical director 4. Technical interview with team lead 5. Culture interview All of these interviews were within approximately 1 1/2 weeks, so it felt prompt and timely. The recruiter did an amazing job with keeping me updated and not leaving me feeling unsure about my status. None of the interviews felt as if I was being trapped or full of "gotcha" questions. Overall, highly favorable experience. I did not accept an offer with them, but it was largely due to another offer coming in first that was incredibly competitive. Would consider working with them in the future if the opportunity arises.
