I applied through university. I interviewed at Legal Monkeys in Mar 2020
Interview
I only experienced the first step phone interview.
The interviewer introduced the company and the role and asked a few behavioral questions.
Just like any phone interview. You talked with each other. About this position, great communication skills are essential.
I applied online. I interviewed at Legal Monkeys (Bryan, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
The first step was a short phone interview, followed by an in person interview. Then they ask you to come in to do a job shadow. That lasts about 3 hours, and for me it ended up being a waste of time.
They said they would call me to let me know, but ended up sending an automated rejection email that got caught in my spam filter.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Legal Monkeys (Bryan, TX) in Oct 2017
Interview
1. Applied through link off indeed.com
2. Got called and answered about 3-5 questions and then was asked to provide 3 references
3. Once they called my references they called me to schedule an interview
4. Went for a 30 minute one on one interview and at the end was asked to come back for a 3 and a half hour shadowing
5. Did my shadowing and was asked a few questions at the end to see how my day went and was told someone would get back with me by the end of the week
After ALL that I ended up getting an email saying that they had went with another candidate, which getting turned down has happened to me several times and I know how to move past things. The reason I was upset was because they shouldn't have asked me to dedicate a day with them after already interviewing and speaking to me several times they should have known whether or not I was a fit for their company. They also had looked at my resume in the beginning of the entire process so they knew my background and past work experience. The only reason I feel the need to share all this is because I have 2 young children who I had to pay a babysitter for to do the shadowing. It seems like they don't take into consideration that it's not necessarily easy for people to dedicate their time if the company isn't going to take potential employees seriously. Their hiring process definitely needs some reform.
