This was one of the most thorough—and time-consuming—hiring journeys I’ve been through. It started with an initial application screening, followed by a short HR call to confirm my background and availability. That was just the warm-up. Next came a first round interview with the hiring manager, which focused on my experience and how I’d fit into the team. After that, there was an assessment phase—part technical, part situational—where I had to demonstrate problem-solving skills and my approach to safety and compliance scenarios. From there, I progressed to second and third rounds with more senior leadership. These were panel-style sessions, often with 3–4 people at once, each digging into different angles—strategic thinking, cultural fit, and how I’d help close existing audit findings. The process also included background checks and reference verifications, which added extra time. Communication between stages could take days or even weeks, making the whole thing stretch across nearly two months. Overall, it was a detailed, multi-stage process that tested not only my qualifications but also my patience and stamina. While it was demanding, it gave me a full picture of the company’s priorities and allowed them to evaluate me from every possible angle.
