I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Linode
Interview
Initial phone screening with a manager. Next, a HackerRank consisting of open ended tech support tickets and how you would interact with the customer via email. Finally, an in-person interview with your potential team at the Linode HQ in Old City. A thorough, yet thoughtful process. There was a great mix of questions regarding my competency to perform in the role, while simultaneously getting to know me as a person.

Question 1
Some basic linux command line and networking questions to get a feel for your tech knowledge. This line of questioning was used to assess your abilities, not to prevent you from getting the job. Thorough training is available after accepting an offer.
Technical phone screening and in person assessment. Phone screen was basic Linux question. In person was to see if I was a culture fit. Explain a difficult situation you've been in professionally, that kind of stuff.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Linode in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process was over the phone. The first part asked more general questions about yourself and the second part asked technical questions mostly regarding linux. The hiring managers did not seem interested in the start of the conversation. Even the greeting was dull and they had no follow ups after most of my answers.
