Thank you for your review of our interview process. We are sorry to hear that you didn’t have a positive experience.
To clarify for those that may be reading this in the future, we do not have an office in New York, our offices are in Denver and Seattle.
We do indeed have a 3 step interview process that assesses culture fit, work experience and ability to problem solve in real time. We also have a relatively low offer rate for those that apply at Loft9. Our commitment to providing high-caliber talent to our client partners keeps the bar high for our evaluation and offer process. The fact that you progressed through all 3 interview stages shows that you possess much of what we look for. As we’re fortunate to meet a number of highly-talented individuals, however, it does make it a competitive process once we get to considering which candidates should receive offers.
With regards to the point you shared regarding “you can get a “no” in interview #1 and still be called back 2 more times,” that may not have come across clearly in our conversation. To clarify for others that are considering opportunities with Loft9, at the end of each step of the process our interviewers share their perspectives with the talent team. At each step, any one interviewer can halt the process if they deem the candidate to not be a fit. However, we would not call someone for the next step in the process if they were deemed to not be a fit. We are not interested in wasting a candidate’s time nor our time interviewing if we know we are not going to extend an offer. So if a candidate made it to the third round, they were given the green light in rounds 1 and 2.
We are constantly working to improve our process and truly hope that everyone has a positive experience regardless of the outcome.
