Our goal in an initial call is to fill in any gaps that a recruiter might not have covered, as well as to match your experience with what we hope will be a successful career experience.
We do ask early in the interview process what questions a candidate has for us. It exposes any immediate concerns a candidate might have, as well as shows if the candidate has taken the time read about Lumens on our website and online.
In terms of a timeline for an open position, we hire when the person is the right fit. At our size, we look for people that embrace cross-training and have an entrepreneurial spirit. At times, some roles are paused or converted to contract, and we reset expectations with recruiters and candidates about this change.
And at times, it becomes apparent in the interviewing process that a candidate located near our office will have a better quality of life given the expectations of the position.
