      Software Engineer Interview

      19 Aug 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Orlando, FL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Luminar (Orlando, FL) in Aug 2017

      Interview

I applied online and got an email in a few days saying that they would like to do an on-site interview with the team. I agreed and the onsite interview was set 2 days after I received this email. Arrived on there on time and everyone over there appeared very friendly. It didn't feel like an interview at all. It felt more like a friendly conversation, Amazing people! They mainly asked about my background and my experiences. Asked me one technical question, couldn't properly answer that. After that, they showed me around the office and it was so cool! I really wanted to work there. Well two days later I got a rejection email, but it wasn't a generic rejection email. I think they really care about their job applicants. Will apply there again one day!

      Software Engineer Interview

      14 May 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Orlando, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Luminar (Orlando, FL)

      Interview

Applied directly online through the Career section off their website. That was over a month ago so I decided to call as I still saw the job opening available. Was told that I would get a call back and they called ask a few questions. I was then told I would receive a 2nd call for a one on one interview......still waiting. I must say that I have multiple friends who have also applied to different jobs and non have received any form of update or communication. I would be very wary of working for a company that can’t even send a professional rejection letter. It’s quite confusing as to why there are so many job openings and none seem to have been filled. Someone in this company is dropping the ball or not doing the hiring process adequately. I have never applied for a company that can’t even follow or communicate basic hiring guidelines....sad but true
