I applied through university. I interviewed at MUFG (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
I went in prepared since questions were predicated on what others said would come up. There were 2 interviewers - one asked personal questions, one asked technical questions. They did not see my CV before hand so I begun with explaining myself, my experience, and hobbies.

What is a financial derivative?
What is a current trend in this industry?
Great, really straight forward and easy to follow. People in the interviewing process are very helpful and approachable.
Application with some questions, then exam, then phone interview, then in person assessment day.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MUFG (London, England)
Interview
Online maths assessment, followed by a phone call interview from HR, then 2 more real-time video interviews with the product control team.
Phone call was straighforward, why you want to work for MUFG, stuff about myself and my degree, why investment banking etc. plus 2 maths questions, gcse level ratios. Also asked about some finance stuff like what is a bond, what is an IPO. HR person seemed so out of it though lol
First round interview was with some people from product control, asked general questions about me and my degree, and then some other general interview questions eg. what motivates you, why mufg, what does an investment bank do. They were all really nice!
Second (Final) interview was with the manager of the product control team. Kind of asked the same things as the interview before about myself, why mufg, why investment banking. Was a bit more technical with the investment banking and wanted to know about your knowledge of the industry.
Overall it was a good experience, the video interviews were very helpful and more interactive instead of the recorded ones. Process took about 3 weeks
