To start, hiring manager 7 minutes late which left only 23 minutes to go over my experience and if the role could be a potential fit. I started by giving some details of my experience. Without asking for any sort of follow-ups or digging into the role, he immediately went into situational questioning, which I felt was a bit much for a first-round interview, without having any knowledge that it would be this kind of interview. I did my best to answer as if I was a part of the team. He then used the last 3 minutes of the call to share his screen and make me walk him through a v-lookup and a pivot table on excel, which I could barely see. It was a bit unexpected, I did agree to an excel assessment, but thought it would be shared prior to or after the call. I would've been more than happy to do it, but thought in that environment, I wasn't able to show my skills on the platform, which I have been using for my entire career. To finish, he asked if we can go over time to get to my questions, to which I politely declined since I had a hard stop. He seemingly laughed as if I should've taken the time to ask my questions, even though he was 7 minutes late to the interview. That was a bit disrespectful and unprofessional.
