I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marathon Capital (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
Phone interview, called late.
Very detached and not curious, asks the most generic questions (why banking and this sector and us in one question), asks a very specific technical question about tax and scoffs when the answer is slightly off
Model test, then interview with a current analyst. The model test was easy. Didn't make it to the 2nd round interview, mostly behavioral questions with a few technical for the first round.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Marathon Capital in Oct 2019
Interview
1. Cover letter & Resume submission
2. Prompt
3. Phone interview with prompt follow-up questions
4. Superday
The process went very efficiently. The prompt was not hard but you need to have a good understanding of the income statements and free cash flow calculation.
