I had a virtual screening interview with a recruiter, and from the moment they joined the call they seemed to be annoyed and were overall unwelcoming and off-putting. I didn't get asked any questions about my background, just asking me to list off what I know about their scheduling software, lunch/break labor laws, and what the overtime laws are in my state. When I asked for clarification on something about their benefits package, they made a face and were telling me I was wrong about what I saw (but I literally had it pulled up on another window). Even so, they were unhelpful about explaining what the discrepancy could have possibly meant.
I was disappointed because I really loved that this company prided itself on treating its clients and staff ethically, but I felt super disrespected in that moment.
