I should have paid more attention to the reviews before applying. 1st interview was over the phone followed by 2 rounds of in person interview loops. They had me complete a homework project that consisted of creating a simple JSON and XML transformation web service. I spent 8 hours of my own time at night creating a working sample in AWS to present during the final interviews. Between interview time and homework time, I probably spent 16 hours total on this company. I was told my solution was great and they were impressed with it. After all of this, they rejected me because the nature of the role evolved (during the interview process) and I was no longer a good fit. What a waste of time and resources.
